Liturgy and a concert in the Derevnya village

November 4, 2012 Choir "Dudaryk" went to Derevnya village Zhovkva district, Lviv region. First of all, we served the liturgy in a very old wooden church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with its rector f. Bogdan Horinetskyj (UOC-KP). In 1839 Markian Shashkevych got married there. After the liturgy was held memorial funeral service for f. Markian, served by diocesan Bishop Michajlo Koltun (UGCC). Then there was the dedication of the museum named by f. Shashkevych, and presentation of the ninth edition of the almanac "Rusalka Dnistrova." At the conclusion of all events, we gave a solo concert at the House of Culture. Solo sang - Igor Lazhovskyj, Andrij Popovych, Nazar Lozynskyj and Nazar Omelchuk, accompanied Tatiana Yurynets, conducted by Dmytro Katsal.
