«... Probably the first time in the history of Ukrainian communities in the U.S., a large hall of Carnegie Hall was full in weekday. Thas was because of Dudaryk's concert...»

November 6, 2011 The choir "Dudaryk" visited Nestanychi village Radekhivsky district, Lviv region, where they have served the liturgy and gave a solo concert.
As you know, in November the 6th marks 200 years since the birth of Markiyan Shashkevych - Ukrainian writer, priest, cultural and public figure. From 1838 till 1841 he was a pastor of the Greek Catholic church in this village, and his son Vladimir was born here.
The choir "Dudaryk" served the liturgy in the church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with f.Stephan (Burko). After the liturgy there also was served a memorial service at the monument to Markiyan Shashkevych. Then we went to the folk house, where we gave our solo concert. Many compositions in our program had lyrics by M. Shashkevych. The program also included all known compositions about the mother and the Ukraine. Dmitro Katsal was conducting and Tatiana Yurynets was accompanied. The performance was good.
For the possibility of such a wonderful meeting we want to thank: Taras and Roman Kvasnytsya, and head of the village council Bliznyuk Anatoliy Petrovich.
